Payments and Refund Policy

Effective date:  January 1, 2024

General Refunds
Kokoro does not offer refunds for payments made for coursework and any monetary transactions made to pay for our services are non-refundable.

This is because, in order to maintain the best experience and allow dynamic interaction between instructors and cohorts, our coursework is available to a limited number of attendees. Once those spots have been taken, they are no longer available for sale.

Keep in mind that attendees pay for coursework by their own decision only, and it’s important to be respectful of others wishing to attend the same sessions.

At Kokoro, we highly value user feedback regarding our software and services.

If you, as our user, contact us with an error report, query, or suggestion, our Support team will respond swiftly and competently within 24 hours.

If a user breaches our User Agreement, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the service, with or without prior notice, and no unused funds will be returned.

Our existing refund policy does not accommodate exceptions.

We highly recommend that our users periodically review our refund policy to stay informed about any potential modifications. Changes to the policy may occur to reflect updates to our services or to comply with changing regulations. Your understanding of our current refund policy helps ensure a smooth experience.

Third Party Marketplaces
Notwithstanding the foregoing, if you purchase or subscribe for a course, specialization, guided project, or purchase any other paid Service, through a third party marketplace (e.g., in-app purchases through the Apple App Store or purchases made through certain alternative payment services), the refund policy applicable to that third party marketplace will apply, unless otherwise explicitly stated by Kokoro. Except as otherwise explicitly stated by Kokoro, the third party marketplace will be solely responsible for making refunds under its refund policy, and Kokoro will have no refund obligations. Kokoro disclaims any responsibility or liability related to any third party marketplace’s refund policy or the third party’s compliance or noncompliance with such policy.

Promotional Offers
We may from time to time offer special promotional offers or discounts (“Offers”). Offer eligibility is determined by Kokoro at its sole discretion and we reserve the right to revoke an Offer in the event that we determine you are not eligible. Users with an existing Offer may not be eligible for additional Offers. We may use information such as method of payment or an account email address used with a Kokoro purchase to determine Offer eligibility. The eligibility requirements and other limitations and conditions will be disclosed when you sign up for the Offer or in other communications made available to you.

Changes to Pricing
We reserve the right to change our plans or adjust pricing for our service or any components thereof in any manner and at any time as we may determine in our sole and absolute discretion. Except as otherwise expressly provided for in these Terms, any price changes or changes to your subscription plan will take effect following notice to you.

Other Ciscumstances
Refunds are not granted due to attendee technology issues.

It is your responsibility as the webinar attendee to test your computer setup prior to the start of the webinar. If a technical failure at your home or workplace prevents access to the live webinar, you are not eligible for a refund.

If the technical problem is due to Kokoro’s error, we will consider issuing a refund.

Course Cancellation
If, due to unforeseen circumstances, a course is canceled by Kokoro, all registered attendees will be notified via email as soon as possible after the cancellation.

Terms & Conditions for Online Courses
Payment of the course fee is due at the point of enrollment.

Provided that payment of the course fee has been made in full you will receive an email containing your access details. Payment of the course fee permits single attendee access only and the copying and/or distribution of any online webinar is not permitted without the express written consent of Kokoro.

Technical: Prior to submitting a purchase request it is your responsibility to ensure that you have the relevant technology to be able to access the webinar. Our webinars are facilitated via Zoom. Kokoro is not liable or responsible for any technical issues which may arise as a result of your failure to ensure compatibility as above. Due to its inherent nature you acknowledge that Kokoro is not liable or responsible for and delay, disruption or disturbance in the operation of the internet.

Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit or affect any loss or damage for death or personal injury as a result of Kokoro’s negligence. A person who is not a party to this agreement shall have no rights under the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any of its terms.

These conditions shall be subject to United States law and any dispute and/or difference shall be determined by proceedings in the Los Angeles County courts.

Other: We reserve the right to alter the online course content and/or instructor where necessary.
